Study biology within the context of veterinary and human medicine with the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in University Studies — Biomedical Sciences concentration. This concentration highlights one health concepts and the interrelatedness of human, animal and environmental health and the factors affecting each.

Before beginning concentration area coursework, you must complete prerequisite coursework, including:

  • Biology
  • Fundamentals of chemistry (2 semesters)
  • Organic chemistry with lab (1 semester)

This major does not admit first time college students.

All University Studies degrees require the completion of two university-approved minors. Minors for this concentration must be chosen from an approved list. Biology or Biomedical Sciences cannot be chosen as minors to couple with this concentration.
